This is Brad’s mission statement from Life Design, one of the many programs he found though Unity on the River.

Attending his first service in 2015, he knew he had found the spiritual home he yearned for. His roles at Unity on the River have included greeter, choir, men’s group and TUBA. He joined the board in 2021 and became president in 2024.

Brad has a multifaceted skill set. He has a PhD in biochemistry and is a certified life coach. He is trained in teaching classes, staffing workshops, and energy healing with Body and Brain yoga.

Brad is committed to personal growth and transformation, both for himself and for others. He knows Unity on the River is a place for love, healing, wellness, growth, joy, transformation, and more. Brad is committed to a healthy and impactful Unity on the River.

Lynette is a retired teacher and school administrator, having worked on 3 continents with youth of all ages. She currently works as a Life Design coach and is in the process of writing a book. She is a devoted mother and grandmother who travels often as family members live in far off places and she loves visiting new countries and learning about other cultures. She lives in Arlington, and is an avid gardener, always finding serenity among flowers.

Secretary

Tom is a licensed physical therapist, having received his doctorate in physical therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2011. He is Board certified in Orthopedics and Geriatrics through the American Physical Therapy Association and currently works for MGH in the home care setting.

A proponent of blending East with West, Tom is a long-time student of yoga and an advanced Yang style Tai Chi practitioner.  And he is certified in the Reiki natural healing method.

A lifelong spiritual truth seeker, Tom serendipitously found Unity on the River when attending an evening Embodying Soul Dance event being held in our Amesbury space about 4 years ago.

Since then, he has been active with Unity, having taken several Unity classes both in-person and online, participated in a Spirit Group (looking forward to seeing those re-start!), has served Unity on the River assisting with Sunday services in various capacities and currently serves on the Minister Search Team and the Property Search Team.

Tom is immensely grateful for having found Unity and feels honored to share this path with his Unity on the River spiritual family.

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother of 4. Currently employed at Journeay Insurance Agency in Merrimac, MA as a full- time account manager,  I have been in the insurance industry for 54 years since I started while a senior in high school.

I was a board member of UOTR for 7 years, a prayer chaplain, and have served in hospitality, the bookstore, greeters, and ushers.

I am a lover of elephants and whales and believe in the miracle of angels.

I love life and strive daily to make this a better place for all mankind. I look for the blessings every day, fully aware that each day is a gift.

My spiritual journey started when I was 19 years old that gave me an indelible “knowing” of a spiritual reality that only requires access to it by means of a shift in consciousness. Unity calls it “awakening humanity to its divinity.”

I then studied and practiced meditation with a Buddhist master, and earning a master’s degree in Theology and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. For me, my own integration from my spiritual journey was completely aligned with Unity’s theology, which I discovered years later. It was, and still is, a gift to finally find a congruent spiritual community.

My desire, as I apply for Board membership at Unity, is to regenerate the ties that bind us together as a spiritual community.

I have served in various volunteer capacities at Unity—as an usher, greeter, hospitality Team member, chaplain, and as a several year member of the Green Team. I have grown from each of these experiences.

In sum, I believe that we have a wonderful theology and the best music team around. We have now to re-energize our connections with each other and restart the activities that have led to the vitality and spiritual passion that have always made Unity such a unique community. As a Board member, it would be my desire to enlist community involvement in achieving these goals.

Renee Schneider has been attending UOTR since 2005 and has volunteered in the Youth Ministry for many years as well as volunteering for many other committees and events over the years.

With a BFA in Graphic Design, and a Master’s of Education in Creative Art & Learning, she worked as a graphic artist and then as a kindergarten teacher. Combining her love of art, and teaching, she owns and operates her own art studio in Amesbury, providing private art lessons to children while she continues to develop her own art.

Her life long spiritual journey has found a home in Unity and Unity principals as she continues to learn and grow.
