Upcoming Events at Unity on the River
September and Ocotober are going to be
Productive and Prosperous Months for Unity on the River
On Sunday 8/23 Jackie Walker (Executive Director)
was welcomed with open arms as we presented Love Bus with a donation of $1714. This donation is going to help
3 families that were on the waiting list get the
assistance and support they need for their children
who are navigating a cancer diagnosis. Grateful is an understatement for for support they received from Unity.
Many of our Congregants were excited to meet and chat with Jackie in hospitality after service. We look forward to working with this organization in the near future.
We have a very important weekend planned for our Unity on the River Community September 12th and 13th.
On September 12th, Reverend Stephanie Seigh who has been consulting with our board for the last few months will be facilitating a Community-Wide Mission, Vision and Values Event that anyone who is interested the direction that Unity on the River is heading in is
strongly encouraged to participate and be part of this
Collective Visioning Process.
We need to stress how important
it is to have as many of our congregants
as possible participate in this event.
On September 13th after delivering her talk during service entitled "Creating the Beloved Community" ,
Rev. Seigh will be offering a workshop that ALL ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
(Suggested Love Offering $35 or whatever you can afford) based on Gary Simmons book The I of the Storm.

** Special Note Due to Rosh Hashanah falling over the weekend of 9/12-9/13, we will NOT be meeting at the Synagogue on either of these two days.**
We Will be Gathering at The Newburyport Senior Community Center located at 331 High Street - Newburyport, MA 01950 for all of our events and
service on the 12th and 13th for these
very important community building days.
Back by Popular Demand - Carol Stringham will be facilitating another prosperity class during the month of October. The class that was lead by her and her husband Scott in June has received great reviews by different students who were in attendance.
For the four Sundays in October beginning on 10/4, Carol's class will be offered right at Synagogue after service. If interested please reach out to Carol directly to ask questions and sign up.
