Service Times/What to expect at a service

Services and Celebrations at Unity on the River

At Unity on the River, we set four intentions:

-to have a committed, active, enrolled community

-to be a beacon of light in New England

-to have congruent, cohesive communication

-and to have transformational celebratory services

10am Sunday Service

Our weekly 10am service features a talk from our Senior Minister or guest speaker.  The service is rich with music and positive affirmation.  Attendees can expect to be warmly greeted by our Welcoming Team, hear announcements for upcoming events, experience a celebration of self and have an opportunity for tithing.  If you are new to Unity, you will be given a Welcome Packet (be sure to take your welcome flower to our Bookstore for 10% off your purchase that day).   The service is open to all; we honor all paths to God.  At the conclusion of service, all are invited into our Fellowship area for conversation and snacks.  Most often, a guest speaker will offer a follow up workshop at 12pm on the same day.  Guest speakers can be found on the regular events calender .(link at the top of the page)

**There are assistive audio devices for those who have difficulty hearing the service.

All of our Sunday services are live-streamed and archived for viewing.

Upon request, chaplains will call you for prayer.  In the case of a lengthy hospital or nursing home stay, arrangements may be made for a chaplain to visit a congregant or family member, to offer spiritual support through our Pastoral Outreach Program.

Music at Unity

Unity on the River has a dynamic music team who performs music on Sundays as well as at special events and concerts.

Under the direction of Meg Rayne, our unique music program thrives.  It attracts talent from all over New England and incorporates many musical genres, including gospel, blues, rock, R&B, chant, and folk. Because creative expression and innovation is an integral part of the ministry at UOTR, there is also a commitment to draw upon the rich pool of talent within the UOTR congregation.  Guest musicians for Sunday are announced the week before the service on the home page.  View our detailed Music Ministry page.

Music from previous services can be heard on our YouTube Channel
