Updated August 21, 2020

The previously proposed closing date of 8/24/20 has been pushed back a few days due to a few last minute paperwork & titling issues. This is normal for a selling process such as ours, and we are still on track to close within the week. We will also stick with our move-out schedule which means as of Monday, August 24th we will be operating out of our new temporary office space at 14 Cedar St, Suite 203, Amesbury, MA 01913 and we will no longer have a presence at 58 Macy St. Please do not go into the building after August 23rd. Over the next couple weeks we will be setting up the new office space and will let you know when we are open to the public. Thank you for your patience.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT PROPERTY SALE**

Updated August 12, 2020

Beloved Community,

As you probably know by now, we have found a buyer for our property. Rock Church is in the process of purchasing all the units which makes for a much less complicated sale process. We extend heart-felt gratitude to members of Spirit On The River (our property management team) who have worked tirelessly on our behalf to ensure the best and most benevolent terms for both parties. The proposed closing date will be August 24th, 2020. Within seven business days of closing we will receive proceeds from the sale in the range of $850,000 - $900,000. Please note that this is the estimated profit after paying off the mortgage and other fees associated with the sale.

Our current plan is to rent office space in Amesbury to have a operating hub after we have moved out of the building. Starting August 23rd our new & temporary office will be located at 14 Cedar St, Suite 203, Amesbury, MA 01913. Because we are still in the midst of a pandemic we do not consider it safe to gather indoors for service at this time. Over the next few months we will continue to post services and have other events (classes, workshops, meditations) online. During this time we will continue to explore meeting options (e.g. renting space at movie theater, renting space from another church) to gather when it is safe again. We believe the decision around purchasing our next permanent space is one that needs to be undertaken mindfully, and there are many things to consider (e.g. location, size, function, etc). It is an important decision that should involve discussion with the entire community, and at this time our focus is on packing and setting up the new office space to ensure smooth continuity. We will have a Virtual Community Meeting on Sunday, September 6th to begin conversation around what's next for us.

So during this time, we invite you to breathe, go to your heart, be with all the feelings, do your best to stay in the present moment, write down any questions that arise for the community meeting, perhaps eventually finding a place of gratitude for the ease and grace with which this process has unfolded, trusting that it is indeed in Divine Timing as we have been affirming. Remember that as much as we all love this space that has served us so well for many years, WE the people are the church, and we will always be in community and fellowship with each other.

Peace & Blessings,

The Unity On The River Board

We would like to thank everyone who took part in this process. We know for some it was, and will continue to be a challenging emotional process to release the space that has served the community for so many years. On some level, we will all grieve as we say goodbye to the place we have called home. We also invite you to remember that over the years (and multiple locations) it has been, and will continue to be, YOU, the people, that bring the love, laughter, support, muscle, prayers, affirmations, service, and generosity that is Unity on The River. We will always be a center of Transformation, Celebration, Inspiration, Spirit-Centeredness, Oneness, and Joy no matter the space we call home.

Now that we know the starting point from which we will move forward, we will be in the process of creating plans for the sale and eventual relocation. As always, we will keep you informed every step of the way. Let us remember to stay heart-centered, walk in Faith, and trust in Divine Timing.

Thank you for your patience and trust.
