We also have a rich community of teachers, chaplains, and healers who generously share their time, talents, and wisdom with the community. The doors to the sanctuary will now open ten minutes before services.  Thank you in advance for your part in creating sacred space to enhance the group worship experience.

Alchemy of Grief Trilogy
Three Week Sunday Series Begining Sunday, August 29
We all experience loss-it is an integral part of everyday existence.  Our series "The Alchemy of Grief" is an invitation to this community to experience the 40 days in the desert of loss. Our intention is to help create openings for those who choose to walk through this experience and for others to hold sacred space.  Please see Sunday's  nsert for more detailed information.  Below is just a brief overview to give you a flavor.

Friday, September 3, Movie Night: "Rivers and Tides" (a documentary about artist Andy Goldsworthy who creates art out of natural objects, in nature, and then leaves them to be reclaimed by nature) 7pm, Sanctuary at Unity on the River
Sunday, September 5, Part II, Room of Release, voluntary Community Participation: Biodegradable "room" set up in back of church for releasing objects

World Day of Prayer Activities at Unity on the River
“We are Living Expressions of Divine light flowing forth into the world!” September 8-9, 2010
Unity on the River will be participating with the world-wide Unity movement in prayer activities to honor our collective commitment to the spiritual, ecological and social transformation of our planet.   Join with your Unity community and participate in these sacred activities.
• September 8th 7 PM--World Prayer Service
• September 8th 8 PM--Live video streaming of ceremony from Unity Village
• Submit names to be held on the World Day of Prayer prayer list
•  24 hour prayer vigil and labyrinth walk (September 8th 7 PM until September 9th 7 PM in   sanctuary)

Adventures in Faith (AIF) Facilitators and Home Sign-Up
Start thinking about serving as facilitator or offering your home for AIF
Cheryl Noonan and Bonnie Kimball are this year's AIF Coordinators
Facilitator training will be Sunday, September 12.  Sign up begins for congregational participation in home study groups on September 12 and September 19.  
AIF Kick off on Sunday September 26.  Join us as we study the book The Compassionate Universe, currently available in the bookstore for purchase.


Unity on the River Kayak Trip - Back by Popular Demand

Sunday, September 19th, 2:00 pm 

We’re planning a two to three hour church canoe/kayak trip.  We’ll do the upper section of the Powwow River that includes Lake Gardner. We have made arrangements with Plum Island Kayak.  They have graciously donated up to 50% of their normal fee for the church. The rental fee is $20 per person plus a love offering to the church. We’ll need commitments with $10 deposits by August 20th to lock in the rentals, and space is limited to 15 rentals. Learn tools that will uncover the myths and messages that are sabotaging your life journey, relationships and intentions. Posipalooza Concert

Monday, October 11, 7:00 - 9:00 pm
