We host a myriad of activities throughout the year. We take pride in hosting a wide array of nationally-known guest speakers. We also have a rich community of teachers, chaplains, and healers who generously share their time, talents, and wisdom with the community. Habitat for Humanity
Saturday, August 7 (we meet the first Saturday of every month)
Meet in the Church Parking lot at 8:00 am
As most of you know, UOTR has accepted the opportunity of being a Habitat for Humanity church. Our only responsibility is to show up with a crew of 6-15 congregants on the first Saturday of each month to help build homes for folks in the Merrimack Valley (in the present case, Lawrence) who are in need. No tools or skills are necessary, although if you have carpentry, masonry, or landscaping, skills it is very helpful. We meet at the church at eight and caravan or car pool to the site. Because Habitat needs a headcount one week in advance contact John Wilkinson at wilkinson.john@comcast.net or 978-462-2984.

Myrtle and Charles Fillmore’s Teachings on Healing and Wholeness
Tuesdays, August 10 – September 14, (date revision) with Shipley in the Sanctuary
This course is based in the spiritual laws and universal principles that support the expression of health and wholeness in our minds, bodies and affairs. We will be working with Myrtle and Charles Fillmore’s interpretation of how Jesus used and demonstrated those in his own life. Such laws and principles will be presented to support participants in developing a practical understanding of Myrtle and Charles theology as heart centered metaphysicians. It is our expectation that through the development of such practical understanding, participants will be inspired to also become heart centered metaphysicians. We also expect them to develop a “tool kit” for using healing principles in their daily lives and in supporting other people in their own healing process. There are three major topics in which the teachings will be based. Those three major topics are:
The Source of Healing,The Consciousness of Healing and The Practice of Healing.
Special Community Meeting
Sunday, August 15, 11:30 am
Everyone is invited to attend, but only Unity members can vote.
Agenda
• Update on current UOTR activities
• Request a suspension of current By-Laws that state a term limitation of 6 years (two three year consecutive terms) for UOTR Board members, until our annual meeting in February 2011.
It has been brought to the Board’s attention that Jackie Woodside, our President is serving in her 7th year of service. This was an oversight when we were preparing for our nomination process in fall 2009. We are in the process of creating proper documentation using our recently established church database, so this situation will not happen again.
We are asking for the suspension of the term limitation to allow for continuity in our leadership transition in the coming months.
We hope you will be part of this important meeting.
