Our Unity Basics class strives to deepen the student’s understanding of the following:

• The Philosophical Roots and the History of the Unity Movement
  
• Primary Unity Principles: Prayer and Affirmation; God and Christ; Visioning and Demonstrations of Faith; 12 Spiritual Powers; Metaphysics and Language; Consciousness and Co-creation; Prosperity and Healing; and Peacemaking.
  
• Unique Aspects of Unity on the River: Mission, Vision, Values, and Practices; Organizational Relationships of Minister, Staff, Board of Trustees, and Members; Celebratory Worship Services and Sacred Service; Educational Programs and Prayer Support; as well as our opportunities for fellowship and community connections.
  
• Unity’s Organizational Structure: Association of Unity Churches; Unity Institute; Unity Village and Silent Unity; the Eastern Region; International Connections

If you are new to Unity on the River or not familiar with our roots in the world-wide Unity movement, check out the Unity Basics class.  This is an meaningful invitation to learn more about the   history and principle teachings of Unity. You will become better acquainted with our own unique church community and the many opportunities for worship, education and service available to you.
