Unity on the River - Membership

Completion of Unity Basics - This class is designed to offer the answers to fundamental questions about the Unity movement and our church, Unity on the River. We will address the who, what, when, where, why, and how questions concerning the development of both.

Our Unity Basics class series will offer an opportunity to become more familiar with our minister, Rev. Shipley and our staff leaders. Students will gain an understanding of our roots in the Unity teachings begun by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in the 1890’s. We will share a collective understanding of our purpose as a church as well as our vision for ourselves. Through lecture, independent reading assignments, personal reflection, prayer and meditation, as well as lively group discussion, students will be invited to explore their personal belief system in light of the Unity perspective.
